What is the IBC e-pressroom?
The IBC e-pressroom for 2005 is the official online news service for IBC2005.
The IBC e-pressroom service provides exhibitors with ability to upload all of their news releases and related files to an online database connected to the IBC website at www.ibc.org.
Along side the website is a regular email newsletter which goes out to all of the show's registered press which usually numbers over 1500.
The e-pressroom provides a central source of information for both Press and industry professionals.
Who is the IBC e-pressroom for?
Submission to the IBC e-pressroom service is only available to companies exhibiting at IBC2005. This is determined by the the IBC's own exhibitor database.
Access to the information contained in the e-pressroom is freely available to all and requires no registration.
How much does the IBC e-pressroom service cost?
Costs for the IBC e-pressroom service are £100+vat for a 10 item Press Pack or £180+vat for a 20 item Press Pack. Press Packs can contain any combination of on screen releases and downloadable files.
When is the service available?
The IBC e-pressroom service is open from July to October. After this point no more submissions are allowed to the site, however the service remains available for viewing throughout the year.
How do I submit releases?
Once you have subscribed to the service you can login to your admin area. Here you have a range of options available to manage your online Press Pack. On the right hand menu select 'Add to Press Pack' and then choose option 1 'Add new release to your press pack'.
Complete the form by typing or cutting and pasting in your release, making sure that you have selected a category, and then click submit.
You can modify or delete a release at any time by selecting either 'Modify Entries' or 'Delete Entries' from the right hand menu and then selecting the item you wish to change.
How do I upload files?
Once you have subscribed to the service you can login to your admin area. Here you have a range of options available to manage your online Press Pack. On the right hand menu select 'Add to Press Pack' and then choose option 1 'Upload a file to your press pack'.
Click the 'Choose File' button and select a file from your comuter. Maximum file size is 1mb. Only .doc .pdf and .jpg files will be accepted. File names should end with the correct file type.
Then complete the rest of the form, making sure you select a category, and click 'Upload File'.
The file will be uploaded to the e-pressroom database from your computer. Please bear in mind that this process may take some time depending on your connection speed and how busy the server is at that time.
Once your file is successfully uploaded you will see a screen listing the details of the file.
You can delete a file at any time by selecting 'Delete Entries' from the right hand menu and then selecting the item you wish to remove.
